His practice covers high-stakes disputes across commercial and public law, including Competition and Consumer Protection, Public Procurement, Public Private Partnerships, insolvency, employment law, and the Mining, Oil and Gas sectors. He also engages with emerging issues in data protection and image rights within marketing and digital ecosystems.
Benson has experience within the United Nations internal justice system, having prepared briefs for matters before the UN Dispute Tribunal and the UN Appeals Tribunal, with exposure to international administrative law and institutional governance.
Benson Odiwuor was part of the litigation team in the landmark challenge to the Finance Act, 2023, before the Supreme Court of Kenya, contributing to jurisprudence on public finance and public participation, and has further experience in cross-border disputes involving constitutional and regulatory questions.
He is a member of the Bar-Bench Committee of the Energy and Petroleum Tribunal.
He is an author, having published a Book, “The Law of Workplace Sexual Harassment in Kenya”, with LawAfrica Publishing, and has also published several articles in peer-reviewed journals.
